  • You certify for two weeks at a time, every two weeks on Sunday for the previous 2 weeks. The UI portal will tell you if you have weeks available for certification. Once you certify, you should get paid within two days.
  • Payment will be done through a EDD Bank of America Debit Card
  • You should receive the BoA debit card within 10 days of your first payment.
  • If you already have an EDD card from past claims, you will use the same card.
  • You can check the status of your card by going to the EDD Card website and selecting "Replace My Card" to see the current status of the card
  • The EDD Debit card can be used anywhere Visa cards are accepted. You may also have the balance transferred from the card to your bank account through the EDD Card website.
