How to tell if iPhone 12 is fast charging?

Coming from iPhone 7plus so sorry if this is a stupid question lol

I bought a 20W apple power adapter, and Amazon basics usb-c to lighting

But I'm not getting the 2 digs that means the fast charging is enabled?

I think the two dings were removed. Fast charging activates automatically depending on your battery level status. Below 50 is when it takes max juice but over 50 it throttles do whatever it thinks is necessary.

Op is kind of asking if there is an indicator of the speed of charging, or if there's app API that another app could let you know when it's fast charging

It would be nice if Apple gave some kind of an on-screen indication when "fast" charging is happening. My current Pixel 4XL does this. I'd be fine even if they buried it in some "About" menu.

Even though from daily use it doesn't matter, when trying a new charger it would be nice to be able to quickly confirm that meets the "fast charging" requirements via the interface.

A visual clue is nice to have. I came from an Oneplus 6 and it provides a nice lightning bolt animation and turns the charging led to blue indicating that it is using fast charging.

With the iPhone 12 right now I have no idea if it is charging at regular speeds or using fast charging. Especially confusing as it is very dependent on the cable/brick you use. With the Oneplus phone I at least knew that it would always do the fast charging when using the supplied cable and charger.

A charger monitoring app like this one should tell you if you're getting fast charging speeds.

To calculate the wattage, use this site to enter the mAh calculated by the app and the voltage printed on the power adapter.

0-20% is the fastest charge 21-80% is still pretty fast (30% to 80% takes the 20W USB-C to lightning cable 35 minutes for me to charge). 81-100% is slow regardless, but still faster with the USB C (>18W) cable than the USB A (<12W)cable.

does anyone know if using a warp charger (65w) from one plus would work with a iPhone 12 and 12 mini? Im very curious cus the price difference is quite some and i already have one so i wouldn't want to spend the $70 from apple while having already one from oneplus. I know they want to push us to buy from their own brand but does anyone knows if it really messes up charging performance?

It would work, but no IPhones won't take more than 20W of charge. This is for the 12's. The 11's I believe take in 18 W.

So no matter which charger you connect. You won't get more than what you would from Apples 20 W brick.

Some say there is a slight difference, but that slight difference also is barely noticeable.
